Privacy
We don't require an account or an email, and your report lives only in the link in your browser.
- When you run a report, your address is sent once to our data provider (RentCast) through a server function that holds the API key. That function uses your address only to fetch that one report.
- To build the hazard "due diligence" section, the report also sends the property's location (approximate coordinates and ZIP) through our serverless function to free federal data sources: FEMA (National Risk Index, OpenFEMA disaster declarations, National Flood Hazard Layer) and the EPA (Envirofacts). Those calls look up public hazard records for the area; no account or personal detail is attached.
- The site is hosted on Netlify, and its serverless functions run there; standard hosting request logs (for example, IP addresses) are handled by Netlify to serve the site and operate the lookups.
- Your finished report lives entirely in its own link (the part after
#), generated in your browser. Reopening or sharing the link rebuilds the report locally; it never touches our servers again. - We don't ask for an email or an account. Calendar reminders are generated as a file on your own device; we don't run an email list.
- If you share your report link, be aware it contains your address and home details; share it only with people you trust.
We use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand aggregate site traffic. It does not use cookies or track you across sites. We use no third-party advertising trackers. Affiliate partners you click through to have their own privacy policies.
Our pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts. To deliver a font, Google receives the request for it, which includes your IP address, under Google's own privacy policy. This is standard for sites that use Google Fonts, and it is used to serve the font, not to identify you to us.
